I'm off to LA & NYC 14th - 24th Nov!

Hi A/all,

I’m off overseas again soon on the 14^th of November for a short break to the Northern Hemisphere! 

I’ll be in California and then New York for 10 days inclusive! I’ll be in Los Angeles initially for a couple of days, then on to NYC - My first trip to the Big Apple! I’m very much looking forward to it!

While in LA I’ll be (finally) getting My shooters’ licence! My good friend and infamous fetish photographer Gerry “Fuckin’ Gerry” Kohler of “Eye on Fetish” fame is a gun instructor, so he’s going to show Me the ropes or rather not ropes this time - the shots! I’m really looking forward to catching up with Mistress Ariana Chevalier from New York Rubber Studio, too. I’m eager to see Her world renowned latex collection, not to mention her fetish boot collection – which I’ve heard is a force to be reckoned with!

I am traveling for pleasure this time and, although I’ll still be available via email as per usual, I’m not seeking to conduct any sessions in either LA or NYC. Please do expect delays in communication as I’m in transit for much of My week. I’ll not have a American cell for the brief period I’m away but you’ll be able to keep up with My travels on Twitter! I’ll try to update here, too - but I may get so caught up in things I won’t have time! Statue of Liberty here I come!

My dates for My imminent trip are:

Sunday 14^th Nov - Sydney to Los Angeles

Tuesday 16^th – Los Angeles to NYC

Friday 19^th – NYC to LA

Weds 24^th - LA back to Sydney

I’ll be available for sessions at the earliest from 10am Thursday 25^th Nov. If you wish to make an appointment for this day, please email Me prior and we can book a time ahead. I may still be a little jet-lagged! It’s more than likely I’ll be busy on My return so please be in touch if you wish to meet before I get back…

I’ll post after I get back from My current sojourn in Melbourne about My commitments in the lead up to Christmas, too. In brief, I plan to be available in Sydney until the 24^th of December. I’ll discuss My holiday dates soon so stay tuned to catch Me before I take time off over Xmas and New Year!

I'm off to Melbourne this weekend for one of the best annual events on the Australian calendar! The Oz Kink Fest, organized by Mistress Mallice, has grown over the last 5 years to be a fun collection of parties, markets and workshops around the Melbourne Cup weekend!

Oz Kink Fest 2010

I'm not going down for the major party "Hellfire Resurrection" this year as I’m concentrating My time on the activities the weekend before the keynote event. The things really attracting My attention are the two Kinoko Hajime workshops and the Klub Kunst party on the Monday night!

I’ll land in Melbourne just in time to see a little of the Expo on the Saturday but I’m really looking forward to sampling the unique rope style of Hajime. It's so great to have a rising talent so new to the international Shibari scene in Australia! My rope is very much inspired by traditional Japanese bondage forms but I respect the great value in stepping outside the box and experimenting - and not just with different positions. I’ve seen work of Hajime’s that uses video tape, UV-glow rope and trees (!!) so I’m really looking forward to spending time with an established rope artist who’s style is so different!

Two things I'm really excited about right now...

Hi A/all!

Wondering why I've been so absent from Twitter recently? I've been so busy that I simply haven't had time to sit down, forget tell you about what I'm up to! I'm one of those people who actually still Tweets from their damn computer - I need an Iphone yesterday!! :)

It seems that Spring always gets the blood up - Myself included - so there have been a couple more than the usual number of sessions recently and some really hot ones at that! :)

Another thing that always gets My blood up is a new pair of shiny boots! I've a couple of doozies in the mail coming as I write (cheers Ebay!) so stay tuned - more on those sooner! But, I have such a great collection already with such unique pairs, it's never a chore to showcase My favourites!

As My devoted readers here know I recently did yet another photo shoot for Bootlovers.com edition 69! If anyone didn't already notice, the boots I'm modelling here are freaking FANTASTIC!! For those who missed the Bootlovers brouhaha, these are 12" heeled, 7" platformed, black patent leather thigh high boots by the now defunct Little Shoe Box company from the UK. I bought these from a gent who used to run a kinky website and who now runs The Boot Fetishist Blog. The shots are by Bootlovers.com own DJ who just happened to be in Sydney on business.

Sydney is currently getting ready for this keynote event - the very first of its kind in OZ ever! Why is it unique? It's a weekend long convention from Oct 1st to 4th with parties, workshops and performances. It's going to be really huge!!!

So, why am I mentioning it in concert with My boot pictures? The reason is that I'm conducting two workshops at The Gathering. One is on "Electro play" - but the other one is on "Fetishism", with a focus on boots!

This workshop will also include a WORLD FIRST - the 1ST EVER FETISH BOOT EXHIBITION! I'll be taking people on a guided tour of this small but seminal exhibition of the most rare and extreme boots you'll find anywhere in the world. Some are from My personal collection and some from the personal collection of DJ from Bootlovers.com himself!

Rigging by Mistress Tokyo for Matt Bylett show, Lunamorph 2010

Weeks ago the fantastic Matt Bylett from Matt Bylett Designs asked Me to be in his show for the Sydney Fringe Festival's "Lunamorph" at the Enmore Theatre. "Lunamorph" is an annual alternative fetish and gothic fashion show for local Sydney designers - of whom Matt is one.

He asked Me to model his unique latex creations but... to also SUSPEND IN BONDAGE OFF THE STAGE RIGGING A PERSON WEARING ONE OF HIS DESIGNS - an amazing inflatable mermaid costume! Wow!

After thinking about it, I declined the offer to model so I could focus on hanging this amazing mermaid person in the sky! I love suspension bondage - but I know very well the issues of safety and comfort for the submissive - it's paramount!

So, working with the really co-operative riggers at the Enmore Theatre, I was able to suspend My friend Burlesque fetish performer Audrey off the rig really high up - 4m in the air! She was tied in a standing position with arms free but under the mermaid tail were a sequence of ropes at knees and thighs to keep her up and stable...

I used black 6mm and 7mm hemp for the lines and scarlet 6mm hemp for the body harness. I didn't follow anyone else's pattern; I just made it up after a couple of run throughs, made sure Audrey was comfortable and then just made the whole tie as stable as possible. The most stressful thing was having to tie her legs and the suspension lines behind the stage screen while other performances were going on - in the dark!!! Oh, that and the fact she was so damn high that if anything went wrong it could REALLY go wrong!

I was really proud as, apart from doing a show with Matt Bylett who is an amazing artist, I did My very first public Shibari performance! I do this sort of tying nearly every day in My sessions but it's different to have to produce an aesthetic and safe tie on demand under really trying circumstances.

There are also painfully few FEMALE Shibari riggers performing around the world. In fact, I can only think of one woman doing this style of show on a regular basis and that is the fantastic Satomi Tokyo Love Doll, from whom I've learnt A LOT of My rope skills. さとみさん、どうもありがとうございました！:)
