Presenting at Sydney Xplore Festival over Easter

Hi E/everyone!

After I jet back into the country from San Francisco I'll be looking forward to the next thing on My dancecard - presenting two workshops at the Sydney Xplore Festival this Easter!

Click thru here to go to the Xplore site...

If you haven't heard about this benchmark festival, here's a couple of words from the it's convenor, Dr Peter Banki;

"Xplore is a three-day event on creative sexuality, BDSM, tantra, ritual and other body practices. Delve into new found pleasures by joining us.

Xplore offers more than 40 workshops and performances, bringing together a highly developed interest in the body and different aspects and variations of sexuality.

Xplore is hosted by international and local presenters, most of whom are professional artists, dancers, choreographers and/or scholars. There will be workshops with Hajime Kinoko, (one of the world's most dazzling Shibari artists), Tristan Taormino (best-selling author, sex educator and feminist pornographer) and Annetta Luce (dancer, choreographer extraordinaire). The festival culminates in all night Berlin-style party called "The Aristocracy of Desire".

Xplore presents workshops which will give you the chance to have new experiences, rather than only discussions or demonstrations. These experiences are as varied as sexuality itself. Some are therapeutic in nature, some emerge from aesthetic intentions, others are spiritual quests or searches for the borderline. Their common ground is playfulness, communication, creativity and expansion beyond traditional relationships. They represent a different sexual culture.

Above all, Xplore wishes to bring together those who think and love unconventionally. To share and to learn."

I missed the inagural festival last year due to prior commitments but this time, going on the success of last year, I was happy to offer My skills to the community!

I'm presenting workshops on "CBT: women on men", and "Latex: The initiation"! I'm really looking forward to the rubber workshop as I have not presented it before and am VERY eager (as you may imagine) to impart some of My love of latex to the workshop attendants!

I'm personally really looking forward to reacquainting with a certain person from Japan too - the really cool and immensely talented Kinoko Hajime! I've had the pleasure of attending a couple of his workshops in Melbourne and look forward to downing tools and rocking up to his workshops as a student! I'm sure I'll see him do some amazing things! Above is a taste of his truly unique rope style...

After I return from Japan - see My next blog posting, I'll be covering the festival for Tony Mitchell's "thefetishistas.com" too! I'll look forward to informing the rest of the kink world on yet another amazing happening down here in Sydney town. Stay tuned, I'll let you know when we publish the article.

I hope some of those who I'm familiar with in a professional session context can make it to what should be an amazing experience!

Best,

MT

TENS Electrical Play Workshop @ Uber, Sun 17th July

Looking for something kinky to do on a Sunday afternoon? ;)

One of the toys I'll be demonstrating tomorrow! :)

I've been asked to run My (now famous) "TENS Electrical Play Workshop" again for Uber tomorrow afternoon!

The workshop will be a thorough explanation of basic to advanced play with an actual demonstration of My Eros Tek TENS shock box on My willing submissive, subzero! I'll be bringing My extensive collection of toys and available to answer any questions people may have.

The gear can be expensive and does require some local knowledge but I'm more than happy to offer the benefit of My experience so that more of us can access this intense scene!

I first ran this workshop at a Uber event last year and it was a complete success! I was then asked to run an advanced workshop at the weekend long Uber event "The Gathering" October 2010. It was the most popular workshop of the whole event! Considering I was standing up next to amazing facilitators like Laura Antonio and Madison Young, that is very high praise! (blush)

Another more basic toy I'll demo tomorrow...

I'm at it again at the home of Uber in Marsden St, Camperdown tomorrow at 2pm. Check the Uber Services website out here if you are interested in booking for this workshop, or for information about other events offerred by the great crew at Uber! (NB. The times on the site as of today Saturday are incorrect - we are officially starting at 2pm)

Click here to go thru to the Uber website...

See you all tomorrow for a kinky end to your weekend! ;)

Best,

MT

TENS Electrical Play Workshop @ Uber BDSM Bonanza Sun 13th Mar

Hi E/everyone!

I am frequently asked to conduct BDSM workshops for the local Sydney kink community. The last lot I did were for the fantastic event "The Gathering" in October 2010 hosted by local fetish promoters Uber.

Again, Uber have asked Me to present at their first BDSM Bonanza for 2011. This is being held at their new Camperdown venue which opened only last weekend!

I'll be presenting a workshop on the basics of "TENS/Electrical Play". I've run two previous workshops on this topic, both at a basic and advanced level. They were both very popular workshops and I've had numerous requests to conduct them again!

For those of you who want a taste of a scene you're curious about but don't really feel that knowledgable about, Uber's "BDSM Bonanza" is a great place to start! What happens is 5 different presenters hold 5 simultaneous workshops on their topic with 5 different groups of people. Then, not unlike a circuit class, the groups change and one group of people move on to the next presenter.

This Bonanza we're also having classes on...

  • Needle Play
  • Caning
  • Cling Wrap Mummification
  • ...and Hog Ties

It's going to be a fun set of workshops!

The best part is you can stick around for the optional "Stay and Play" to carry on the fun after the workshops are done!

Hope to see you there! I'm looking forward to My first workshops with Uber for the year!

I'm off to Melbourne this weekend!

Hi E/everyone!

I'm off to Melbourne this weekend for one of the best annual events on the Australian calendar! The Oz Kink Fest, organized by Mistress Mallice, has grown over the last 5 years to be a fun collection of parties, markets and workshops around the Melbourne Cup weekend!

Check it out here!

Oz Kink Fest 2010

I'm not going down for the major party "Hellfire Resurrection" this year as I’m concentrating My time on the activities the weekend before the keynote event. The things really attracting My attention are the two Kinoko Hajime workshops and the Klub Kunst party on the Monday night!

I’ll land in Melbourne just in time to see a little of the Expo on the Saturday but I’m really looking forward to sampling the unique rope style of Hajime. It's so great to have a rising talent so new to the international Shibari scene in Australia! My rope is very much inspired by traditional Japanese bondage forms but I respect the great value in stepping outside the box and experimenting - and not just with different positions. I’ve seen work of Hajime’s that uses video tape, UV-glow rope and trees (!!) so I’m really looking forward to spending time with an established rope artist who’s style is so different!

Check Kinoko's site here!:

Kinoko Hajime's Shibari

My dates for Melbourne are:

Leaving Sydney Sat 30th returning late afternoon Tuesday 2nd Nov. I will be available for sessions on Tuesday night.

Naturally, I’m available on My phone as per usual. If you don’t reach Me, send Me a text message and I’ll get back to you at My earliest convenience.

But, if you don’t get Me, know I’m probably having a ball in a rope workshop or at one of the great parties for the Kink Fest!

See you when I get back!

Uber Under 30's workshop a great success!

Hi A/all!

Yesterday for the first time Uber presented one of their famous BDSM Bonanzas to the Sydney Under 30's Bdsm kink social group! I've participated in a number of Uber's Bonanzas before, presenting on a diverse range of topics such as Sensory Deprivation and Electrical play - but this time I was asked to talk on the basics of Bondage and Discipline!

I had 40 young people at My whim to learn and expand their knowledge on B&D. We covered as diverse a range of topics as I could cater to in the short period of time; to discuss Bondage I did demos on mummification, Shibari and My straight jacket proved to be lots of fun for all! (I put a few people in it after the workshop!) I discussed Discipline in two broad streams; in terms of both traditional Corporal Punishment - percussion play; and the more subtle mental strengths of holding your own space in a scene, whatever scene it may be, and the virtues of the discipline of protocols. You all missed a lot if you weren't there!

I have another workshop on next month! It's one I've been looking forward to presenting and Miss Dee at Uber and I have been discussing it for ages! A latex clothing making workshop! I'm going to take the lucky participants through what I've leant in the last 6 years I've learnt in My time making rubber! I'll be letting people in on the tricks of the trade and how to make themselves simple pieces that they can actually wear to events. This workshop will be invaluable to those who like to make some basic gear for themselves! I'm not afraid of sharing My knowledge as the more people into rubber in the world - the better, I say!

The workshop is on Wednesday 28th July, called the "Latex - crafty "how to" Workshop." It costs $90 and the start time is 7.00pm. It will run for approx 3 hrs. Once registered, participants will be given the address of the venue. I plan to show people the basics and then help them to make a piece of rubber clothing to take home! Wow - you get to learn how to make a garment you get to take home! Excellent value!

Find the link to registration here on the Uber website if you want to come along!

Be well A/all - and be shiny!
