Hi A/all!
I've been so busy over Mardi Gras and My tour of Melbourne I've not even had spare time to blog!
I do beg your pardon. 5 shows in 1.5 weeks over 2 states while balancing sessions, flights, 4 successful public workshops, building a studio AND circadian rhythms? Hell yes, I'm your perp!!
LET'S WRAP IT UP, like pallet wrap:
A truly wonderful thing I was asked to do for the Sydney Mardi Gras festival was to host Life Drawing for the Queer Edition for the regularly fabulous Wednesday night "Art After Hours" night at the Art Gallery of New South Wales.
Just stand there and look shiny? Not on My watch - not with the fabulous Paloma Negra from Paloma Negra Theatre in tow either, we STOOD and SHONE up a storm!
Some of the shots below are from the wonderful attendees, including some drawings!
We had 40 easels and drawing boards around us. I said to Paloma that "If we could cause enough ruckus to fill 60% of those for MOST of the 2 hour slot, I'd be content."
Talk about content. Turns out, WE MADE GREAT CONTENT! lol
At one point, people were sooooooooo stuffed into the room, people couldn't get in - or out. Such was the jam, such was the unanimous response.
Thanks Sydney, and a HUGE thank you to the Art Galley of NSW for having Me back AGAIN in conjunction with the incredibly popular Robert Mapplethorpe exhibition.
As shot on the day, below! Enjoy!
Best, as art...

Paloma and I in our final drawing tableau - she in My inflatable BALL gown, Me drawing rope out of the zipper in her inflatable loveliness!
Us in our first tableau with Me doing the rope bondage, natch...
...to our third tableau - which we called Clean Qween!
As I stood there to be drawn, I called out, "Spot the Feminist".
Thankfully, people appreciated My black humour!
Our second tableau was sure to be a crowd pleaser.
My beautiful uchikake (Japanese wedding kimono) with some asymmetrical tying and some take (bamboo) looked bloody amazing even if I say so Myself.
